Crime is everyone’s problem, not just the Campus Police or other local police agencies. We as a community should work together to eliminate crime and make our campus a safe and secure living and learning environment.

The Wilberforce University Division of Police is a full-service police and security agency that takes a proactive approach in progressive campus community policing. The Police Department is located on the ground floor of the Wolfe Building and is working diligently to develop partnerships with the Wilberforce campus community as well as the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Central State University Police, Xenia Division of Police, and other local law enforcement and emergency service providers. By working together, we can keep the Wilberforce community a safe place to live and learn.

I am asking for your assistance and cooperation of every member of our community to do your part of maintaining a safe and secure quality of life for the Wilberforce Community. We look forward to getting to know each of you.

Please do not hesitate to stop by the office or call us if you are in need. 1-937-708-5780 or 911 if an emergency.

Reports

The purpose of this report is to inform you of the safety programs available to you, the crimes that are reported to our Campus Police and safety measures to make Wilberforce University the safest campus community within the region.  This report is also provided as part of Wilberforce’s commitment to safety and security on campus and it is in compliance with the Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, and subsequent amendments that led to its being renamed the Jeanne Clery Act in 1998.

We in the Campus Police Department need your help to make our campus safe and secure. It takes all of us to get the job done. We as a department can detect, investigate and make arrests. However, prevention is the best method to suppress crime. Please do your part in preventing crime by securing your property and reporting suspicious and unlawful behavior immediately to the Campus Police Department. Your efforts in conjunction with ours will help us all. Remember See it! Hear it! Report it!
