Power orator Patricia Russell McCloud, J. D., will be the first speaker for the Wilberforce University 2021-2022 Convocation series. Considered one of the nation’s most influential rhetoricians, the former national president of The Links, Inc., has been presented with honorary keys to more than 300 American cities.
Since the election of her husband, Errenous E. McCloud, Jr. as a bishop of the AME Church, tradition directs that Russell-McCloud becomes the AME Third Episcopal District Supervisor.
The Indianapolis, Indiana native is described as a visual speaking experience who has brought her energetic, engaging, animated and powerful messages to audiences for more than 20 years.
“At Wilberforce, as we gather to officially begin the academic year and welcome new students into our community, we are honored to have Patricia Russell McCloud provide the Opening School Convocation address. As a staunch advocate of HBCUs with a stirring and compelling voice, our students will hear a message that will, at once, challenge them to step into their destiny while affirming their ability to be successful. We look forward to a wonderful event.” – President Elfred Anthony Pinkard, Wilberforce University
The Wilberforce University campus community eagerly welcomes Ms. Russell McCloud as she brings her inspiring presentation virtually at 11 am Thursday, September 16th.
