After a full week of festivities marking the 2021 Wilberforce University homecoming, Flight 1856 landed on Halloween in the Askew Jackson parking lot. Children from the Wilberforce community and WU students participated in Trunk or Treat – that is, going from the trunks of cars to get their celebrated treats. Trunk or Treat is a newer trend that gives adults a chance to have a Halloween party with neighboring youngsters in a safe environment.
President Pinkard stopped by to say hello and Dr. John Freeman, WU’s Dean of Religious Life and Community Outreach, opened his treat filled trunk to the delight of the kids.
A great way to wrap up a homecoming week until next year.
