Wilberforce University’s Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) is committed to sharing and advancing Wilberforce’s mission of educating students of high promise. We do this by fostering relationships with key stakeholders who desire to financially support the institution for long term impact to the community.
Our goal is to align and coordinate our work in the areas of development and marketing to foster positive relationships with our students, alumni, and generous donors and friends. We commit to providing multiple opportunities for you to become part of the Wilberforce University family, so that together, all things will be possible for our students and the University.
The advancement team shares one important characteristic: We desire to earn your trust and instill confidence that your investment, (be it your time, talent or treasure) is in good hands and will make a long term impact at Wilberforce and beyond.
Wilberforce University Alumni Association promotes the welfare of Wilberforce University. Through alumni giving (time, talent, and fiscal resources), we enthusiastically support our HBCU in its endeavor to provide an exceptional liberal arts education to students from around the world.
The Wilberforce National Alumni Endowed Scholarship
Through generous support of Wilberforce Alumni, over 50 scholarships are awarded each year to students. Scholarships are awarded at the annual University Honors Day Convocation held in April. If you are a student, please contact the Office of Financial Aid to determine eligibility and application. The application deadline is February 26.
The WUAA (Wilberforce University Alumni Association) is comprised of eight Executive Board members and 15 members as Board of Directors. Several working committees diligently work on an annual basis to provide the support for the University. Contact Dr. Talbert Grooms for more information about serving in leadership of the WUAA.
The Wilberforce University Alumni Association supports alumni chapters around the world. These chapters and alumni events provide opportunities for alumni to engage and connect with their communities, area alumni, and Wilberforce.
