Job Summary

Maintains and records invoices and cash entries in the accounting system.  Responsible for employee purchase card statements and expense reports. Provides support for the Business Office and assists with other projects and audit related items as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reviews purchase authorizations and records vendor invoices.
  • Processes ACH and regular check payments in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by creating, verifying, and recording cash transactions and other necessary entries.
  • Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports.
  • Records employee purchase card expenses and reconciles statements.
  • Maintains departmental records and filing system.
  • Completes other departmental projects and audit items as needed.
  • Provides assistance to Bursar as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance 
  • 1-2 years of Accounting experience preferred 
  • Experience with Banner preferred 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
