Wilberforce University is a small, Liberal Arts University with an Entrepreneurial focus, with a legacy of being the nation’s first private HBCU. Broad responsibilities include teaching, research and grant writing, and service to the community. Demonstrate instructional proficiency teaching in various modalities (in-person, virtual, or online). These appointments start in the fall of 2023.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching a broad range of biology courses, including general biology, lecture and laboratory section genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate Biology majors and minors.
- Engage in scholarly research activities.
- Serve on departmental and university committees and engage in other forms of service to the university and academic community.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline. Candidates with ABDs considered but must have a conferred Ph.D. by September 1, 2023.
Preference will be given to candidates with Prior Teaching Experience.
