Job Summary
Wilberforce University seeks a PL/SQL for Developers to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Database Administrator to assist Developer PL/SQL for automation and creating reports. support Student Database (BANNER) user process automation. is responsible for data integration between applications and scheduling job process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs, codes, or configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents, and maintains large and/or complex programs, using a variety of software development toolkits, and programming languages (PL/SQL specific), testing/verifying applications, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards.
- Data integration between applications and scheduling job process.
- Develop and support Applications and services as needed.
- Support/troubleshooting user errors related to database.
- Support/troubleshooting user errors related to database.
- Developing automation job scripts and maintenance.
- Developing procedures and scripts for data migration and report.
- Be the go-to expert for Oracle and PL/SQL.
- Tune, script, and extract, transform, and load.
- Development and support Applications and services as specified by our business need.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- PL/SQL Facets, SQL programming
- Knowledge of aggregate functions; performance tuning Oracle Databases.
- Experience with the BANNER(Oracle) database.
- Experience considered a plus in addition to the above-desired experience: Development lifecycle.
- Experience, including requirements, coding, testing, and implementation.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of computing infrastructures.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues.
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
- Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with approximately 7 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities that include developing and supporting applications Systems.
- Having 5-6 years of experience in a related technical role is required.
- Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server. HTML and JavaScript.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services.
