Hello Wilberforce University Students,

As you are preparing to return for the Spring 2023 semester, just a reminder that classes start January 4th. However, all classes will be facilitated virtually from January 4th – 10th.

What does that mean? You must access your course in Canvas and also check your Wilberforce and Canvas emails for instructions from the instructor regarding how the course will be facilitated (meeting via Zoom or in Canvas) between January 4th – 10th.

On January 11th, face-to-face classes will begin. This means you will attend classes designated in your course schedule until the end of the semester. If you are registered for an online course, you will continue to access Canvas to complete all your coursework.

Attendance is important throughout the entire semester. If you fail to attend your classes (attendance consists of participating in discussions, submitting assignments, etc.), this could result in you being withdrawn from the class, which will negatively impact your financial aid, and overall status as a student.

Some courses were dropped from the Spring 2023 schedule because of low student enrollment. Please check SSB to ensure you are registered for 12 or more credit hours. If you have less than 12 credit hours, contact your advisor for assistance immediately.

If you have not registered for Spring 2023, contact your Program Advisors or your Dean as soon as possible (see attached Program Advisor List).

Lastly, if you reside on campus (LLC, Henderson Hall, or Greene Meadows), please adhere to move in information you receive from the Housing Office. We look forward to seeing you in 2023!

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
